Bermuda Montessori and Daycare is a large family Daycare with a Montessori preschool curriculum in a home setting. We have been in operation since 1991 and introduced Montessori into our program in 2001.
Our school is open year round, offers a full time (whole day) preschool program, based on Montessori philosophy. Our whole child education approach uses sensory based and self directed learning materials and methods to nurture, cognitive, physical, social and emotional aspects of child’s development.
Our qualified Montessori certified and dedicated teachers are guiding children to develop creativity, intellectual curiosity, self- control, cooperation and a lifelong joy for learning.
Our Mission
Bermuda Montessori & Daycare
To create opportunities for children to develop independence, concentration, self- direction, self- esteem and respect for others and all living things.
OUR GOALS
- To provide a warm, loving, happy and safe environment for the child to develop a lifelong joy for learning and learn responsibly in a social group of different ages.
- To help in the child’s growth and development by serving them nutritious and delicious home cooked breakfast, lunch, AM and PM snacks.
- To earn the trust and confidence of the parents thus giving them peace of mind knowing that their children are in a good, nurturing and safe environment.
OUR SETTING
Bermuda Montessori and Daycare’s mixed age setting, for children who are 18 months to 5 years old, enables the older children to build confidence and leadership skills through teaching and helping their younger peers.
Meanwhile, the younger children are inspired to adapt the responsible, mature behaviors of their older classmates.
We have 2 rooms, a Montessori room where the children learn the Montessori curriculum and the Playroom for them to apply lessons learned through play.
OUR CURRICULUM
Sensorial Exercises
Bermuda Montessori and Daycare helps the child develop and refine his five senses. Sensorial exercises were designed to cover every quality that can be perceived by the senses such as:
- Size
- Shape
- Composition
- Texture
- Loudness or Softness
- Matching weight
- Temperatures
Practical Life
Covers two main areas of development:
- Care of Self
- Care of the Enviroment
Math
At Bermuda Montessori and Daycare, the Math Program harnesses the natural energy and curiosity of children to foster deep mathematical understanding. By engaging in activities that encourage absorption, manipulation, classification, ordering, sequencing, and repetition, children are guided to explore abstract concepts in a hands-on manner.
The Math Program is designed to empower children with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their mathematical journey.
Language
Bermuda Montessori and Daycare not only enriches a child’s vocabulary but also enhances their ability to communicate clearly and express themselves effectively.
Through a nurturing and stimulating environment, Bermuda Montessori focuses on developing both verbal and non-verbal communication skills, fostering confidence and creativity in each child.
Music and Body Movement
Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meaning of words. Dancing or body movement helps the body and the mind to work together
Cultural
Bermuda Montessori and Daycare’s Cultural Program Refers to an integrated study that includes History, Biology, Geography and Physical Science.
Arts & Crafts
At Bermuda Montessori, arts and crafts are all about creativity and personal expression. Our children are encouraged to immerse themselves in open-ended, process-focused projects, fostering their artistic skills and imagination.
We provide a variety of art materials, allowing each child to explore and express their unique ideas freely. This approach nurtures creativity and supports the development of a strong, individual artistic voice in every child.
Indoor and Outdoor Play
At Bermuda Montessori, we actively guide children in developing essential social skills like taking turns and sharing while encouraging them to be inventive, explore their surroundings, and utilize their abilities.
Our approach not only fosters positive behavior but also supports physical development and overall health improvement, laying the foundation for lifelong learning and well-being.

EASTER EGG HUNTING
Children at Bermuda Montessori and Daycare paint eggs, make their Easter baskets and go on an adventure hunting eggs hidden in our playground.
GRADUATION DAY
A memorable day when the parents, teachers and children can celebrate accomplishments. Graduates are the star of the show where they touch the hearts of their parents with their songs and short speeches, an unforgettable day for one and all.
HALLOWEEN
We start the day with carving or decorating pumpkins and end it with the children, parents and teachers dressed up in their favorite costumes. Children entertain the parents with their Halloween songs and dances and parents fondly give out treats to the excited and happy children.
CHRISTMAS
This is the happiest time of the year for the children, they learn how Christmas is celebrated in different cultures, learn Christmas songs, perform for their parents and relatives, culminated with a visit from Santa Claus bringing gifts for each child, concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
SUMMER PROGRAM
Our summer program starts in the middle of June to August. We offer arts and crafts, music, cooking and outdoor activities, which include a morning in an exclusive gated park one day in a week for a month where the children can run and play with supervision.
